I hope you don't have heart trouble, it's one of the leading diseases in America. Boys and girls don't often have heart trouble because it's usually associated with older people. Little Harry was only six years old. He was a lively little fellow. He liked to run and jump and play. But one day, he became very, very sick, and it was necessary to put him in the hospital. While he was in the hospital, there was a Christian fellow there who was visiting some of the children, going from bed to bed. He came along to Harry's bed, and Harry thought he must be the doctor. He said, "Doctor, what kind of medicine do you have?" The Christian man stopped and thought a while and said, "I only have heart medicine. Do you have heart trouble?" "No, but what kind of medicine is that?", Harry asked. "The kind of medicine I have" he said, "is the kind that makes your heart happy!" "Happy?", Harry thought, "That's a good kind of medicine to have, I'd like to have some of that". So the Christian man opened his Bible and slowly began to read John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". He also read in Jeremiah 17:9 - "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" He went on to tell Harry that he really did have heart trouble, a different kind of heart trouble, and he had it bad. Harry had heard this before, but like so many boys and girls, he hadn't done anything about it. He thought, "Yes, I've got that kind of heart trouble, because I have sin in my heart, but I wonder if the Lord would except me as I am?" The Christian man turned in his Bible to John 6:37 and read, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out". Then Harry thought, "It's time I came to the Lord and trusted Him as my savior", and Harry did just that. He took the Doctor's heart medicine, and he was happy that he did. If you'll do the same, boys and girls, you'll be happy that you did, too! Trust in the Savior and be saved today!
